1. Puppy below 3 months of age:
During 3-6 months of age, puppies go through some major physical and behavioral changes like growing into its adult size, teething, and being fearful of new places and people. Be prepared to care for your puppy during this crucial development stage.For better digestion, keep in mind less quantity and more frequency. Feed them 4 – 5 times a day. Total quantity should be between 150 -500 gm per day.

For puppies 3 – 6 months of age:
At 6 months, your puppy is now considered an adolescent after their fast-growing juvenile stage from age 3 to 6 months. Be prepared to adapt to your puppy's needs in this life stage since they may have several behavior changes that will need your reinforcement in training and patience.The quantity should be increased and frequency decreased. Feed them three times a day and quantity should be 300 – 800 gm a day

For puppies 6 months and above:
Your 9 month old puppy should be eating a good quality food formulated for puppies of his or her size twice daily. Some veterinarians recommend weaning to an adult food somewhere between 9 and 12 months, depending on the breed and size of your dog. Feed them twice a day; quantity should be about 500 – 1500 gms daily.
